Battlefield Hardline: How The Game Will Remain True To Series’ Theme

"It still has all the Battlefield fundamentals - like the things that make Battlefield Battlefield," says creative director Ian Milham.

Battlefield Hardline might not be a direct sequel to Battlefield 4 but that does not mean it will not be true to the franchise’s roots. GamingBolt spoke to the game’s creative director Ian Milham about this and he assured us that this is a still a Battlefield game at its core.

“It still has all the Battlefield fundamentals – like the things that make Battlefield Battlefield. Giant maps, all the different team-play options, the tactics, the vehicles, the gadgets and all that kind of stuff, but it’s a completely new fiction and world and feel. That means, the look is different, the music is different, where the maps are located is different, all the vehicles are different and all that kind of stuff. It’s the best of both worlds, it’s the gameplay that a-lot of people are familiar with and with a-lot of innovations on top.”

We will see how that turns out. On a related note, the game has now been delayed till 2015 giving Visceral Games enough time to polish up the game. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
