Battlefield: Hardline is real and out there thanks to footage, art assets and story details that have leaked in the past two days. But even though Visceral Games and EA were forced to confirm the game before E3 2014, that doesn’t mean they don’t have more up their sleeve.
Visceral Games general manager Steve Papoutis tweeted recently: “So yeah, that happened. Not how we wanted to unveil Hardline, but all good. Didn’t want to wait til E3 anyway, so let’s talk about it…”
What’s more interesting is that the leaked gameplay trailer was more than 6 months old, according to Papoutis. There will be more to come at E3 and even before this.
“We’re pouring everything we’ve got into this & stoked to share details on June 9 – maybe even a little more before then if you want it.”
Battlefield: Hardline is in development for Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and PC. Expect a confirmed release date when E3 2014 rolls around.
