Bethesda’s Todd Howard Refuses To Confirm If Skyrim On Switch Is The Original Or The Remaster

Maybe it's an entirely new build?

We know that Skyrim is coming to the Nintendo Switch- indeed, the Switch port of Bethesda’s classic RPG is actually one of the most hyped third party games on the system currently. But which version of Skyrim will the system be running? Will it be the 2011 version that launched on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC? Or will it be last year’s remaster that launched on Xbox One, PS4, and PC?

There has been a lot of speculation about this- and Bethesda’s own Todd Howard, when asked about this, refused to confirm which version the Switch runs. Whether that is because of an NDA, a lack of desire to divulge details on an ongoing project before it is ready, because the Switch is getting its own custom version, or because the Switch is, in fact, getting a port of the 2011 game, and Howard wants to hide that fact, is currently unknown.

We do know that Skyrim is slated to launch on Switch this November. The Switch itself? That launches on March 3. We are now one week away from launch.
