A phenomenon that sparked the entire found footage genre, the Blair Witch hasn’t seen too much activity over the years. Bloober Team is looking to change that with its upcoming horror title of the same name. Since it takes place in the gorgeously haunting Black Hills Forest, it only made sense to release a 4K trailer showcasing the environment. Check it out below.
Players will assume the role of Ellis, a former police officer who searches for a young boy that wandered into the woods. Of course, it’s not long before Ellis and his faithful dog Bullet become ensnared in the Blair Witch’s curse. Time and space are warped and supernatural entities roam the woods, waiting to strike.
Blair Witch is out on August 30th for Xbox One and PC. Pre-orders are now live, and include the original soundtrack along with the Art of Blair Witch digital album. The Deluxe Edition is a free upgrade for those who pre-order so you’ll receive the OST and album at no extra cost.
