Blair Witch

The newest video game entry in the popular horror series, Blair Witch, is coming out at the end of next month, and it seems the developers want to keep it in line with the franchise and keep things mysterious. While we have seen roughly 10 minutes of the opening, we still don’t have a lot of details about the game. Now we’ve gotten a little more thanks to a new trailer- but it’s designed to make us want more.

You can see the trailer below. We get a small bit of the story, as we see the main character is searching for a missing person in the mystical forest from the Blair Witch series. Things go awry, naturally, as the forest reveals itself to be more than it seems.

We also know the game will feature combat of some kind and, while this trailer doesn’t show us what that looks like, we do see some snippets of what appear to be some freaky enemies. The overall feel seems very close to the 2016 film, which went deeper into the forest’s mystical nature.

Blair Witch will release August 30th for Xbox One and PC.
