Blair Witch

Fans of the Blair Witch franchise will be returning to the world of the twisted and strange forest we all know and love next month. In typical Blair Witch fashion, we haven’t seen a lot from the newest game adaptation, but are going to get a peek at some creepy early footage of the game to get just a taste of what we’ll end up walking into.

The gameplay footage comes via Game Informer, and you can see the full video below. It seems to be either right at the beginning of the game or near it, as your character is just starting to discover something is not quite right in the forest. Your canine buddy, Bullet, will serve as your guide through the forest and will help you both navigate and discover things as you traverse it. We do know that there will be some form of combat in the game, but none is shown off here. There is a clear picture of how eerie the setting is, and how well it manages to capture the feel of the franchise.

Blair Witch will launch on August 30th for Xbox One and PC.
