Bleeding Edge Releasing March 2020, Will Have 2 Closed Betas – Rumour

Ninja Theory's online brawler might be here faster than we thought.

At E3 2019, Microsoft announced Ninja Theory’s next project, Bleeding Edge, multiplayer brawler, and though its premise may have disappointed some who were hoping for more excellent single player narrative-driven content similar to Hellblade, there’s no doubting that it looks like a very interesting game (not to mention the fact that single player content for it isn’t out of the question either).

It now seems that Microsoft is gearing up to announce the release date for the title. A leaked listing for the game on the official Microsoft Store spilled the beans on the game’s release date, as well as its closed beta schedule and several gameplay details (the listing has been taken down, but we have the aforementioned details courtesy of Wccftech).

As per the listing, Bleeding Edge will be out on March 24, 2020 for the Xbox One and PC. Prior to that, players with pre-orders will get access to closed betas on February 14, and once again a month later on March 13. The listing also had some interesting descriptions for things we’ll be doing in the game. It reads: “Freeze foes in time, control minds, ride missiles and unleash electrifying guitar solos in exhilarating action combat that rewards technique, timing and teamwork.” Using the game’s environments and their hazards to your advantage and fighters’ weapons and abilities is also mentioned.

Of course, this is still officially unconfirmed, but it’s very likely that we’ll know one way or another how accurate this is very, very soon. X019, kicking off in a few hours, is being billed by Microsoft as their biggest Inside Xbox event ever, and another recent report mentioned that we’d be getting a firm 2020 release date for Bleeding Edge at the event. Stay tuned for more updates.
