The beta client for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (currently available only on PlayStation 4) has been updated to version 2.2.14.2 by Treyarch, bringing the beta itself to version 1.01; the new update to the beta brings a bevy of improvements and additions with it, including an in game store (currently good only for purchasing the full game or season pass from within the client itself), experience level caps, a small change to games that go over time, and a whole host of bug and glitch fixes.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the first Call of Duty game in a very long time to have a pre-launch beta, reiterating on Treyarch’s commitment to deliver a competitively friendly and viable multiplayer shooter; the beta should hopefully let Treyarch take community feedback into consideration, and fix any unbalanced elements beforehand.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 launches this November on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
