The following information is based on a Reddit post from that claims to be a newly hired Marketing Interns at Activision, it seems very unlikely that this information is left lying around in “corporate papers” and it’s just as unlikely that a new start would have access to specific details regarding unannounced gameplay information without signing an NDA. That being said, stranger things have happened. Get your salt shaker out.
Treyarch is thought to be using a new ranking setup that will scale from level 1 to level 40. Your rank climbs as you fulfil certain requirements in the game such as headshots and reviving players etc. Your rank won’t change gameplay fundamentally, but it will give you certain buff-like perks like faster movement and revives. It will also unlock emblems.
A character called Samantha serves as the inspiration for the first map. Zeitgeist sees the player enter her mind where gameplay takes place. Players will play as four Mad Men-esque characters called Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen.
The second map has no name, but will see players control Dr Maxis and three other German scientists in the Maxis Mansion. The third map also has no name, it is set in a German village that will serves as the largest map in the game. The fourth and final map will cast the four original heroes at the Pyramids of Giza.
Treyarch are thought to be going with an Egyptian curse theme for the games zombies, rather than using the virus story.
