Bucking the trend of revealing multiplayer in September, Infinity Ward executive producer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts Mark Rubin has announced that the developer will be showcasing the game’s multiplayer in August.
Tweeting about the same, Rubin revealed that:
Sorry I haven't been on twitter much lately. We are in our death march push to finish game. Lots left to do. Looking forward to MP in august
— Mark Rubin (@IWMarkRubin) July 12, 2013
He further followed up by stating that the multiplayer would be revealed in the “Middle” of August. Speculation is already on that we could be seeing the game at Gamescom 2013 which will be held from August 21st to 25th, even though it takes place in the third week of the month.
However, considering the reception DICE received for showcasing Battlefield 4’s multiplayer at E3 2013, we don’t put it above Infinity Ward or Activision to want to make the biggest splash possible. As for what the game’s multiplayer will feature, our best guesses involve dogs at the moment.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is scheduled to release on November 5th for Xbox 360, PC, PS3 and Wii U with releases for the Xbox One and PS4 set for when both consoles release.
