Chorus Announced – Space Combat Title Coming To Xbox Series X, PS5, and More

Deep Silver and Fishlabs announce "a compelling, personal journey of redemption."

Deep Silver and Fishlabs have announced Chorus, a single player narrative-driven space flight combat game coming to current and next-gen platforms next year. Players will step into the shoes of Nara and her sentient starfighter Forsaken as they embark on “an epic quest to free the galaxy from oppression.” Redemption seems to be a central theme of the game’s story, with Nara apparently haunted by something in her past. She and her starfighter will be fighting to unite a resistance “across the galaxy and beyond the boundaries of reality” as they attempt to take down the antagonist group, Circle.

The description of the announce trailer on YouTube reveals some interesting details as well. Described as “a true evolution of the space-combat shooter,” Chorus will see players exploring various locations, including space stations and trading hubs. Combat will include what are described as “exhilarating zero-g dogfights amongst exploding stars, dying planets, atmospheric asteroid belts, glittering ice fields, and strange planes of existence outside our own.”

The ship will also have a “unique” drift mechanic, while players will be able to unlock new weapons and upgrades. More abilities include “extra-sensory perception, teleportation, and telekinesis to overcome massed hordes of enemies and take down titanic battleships,” and it seems these can also be chained during combat.

Chorus is out for the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, and Stadia in 2021.
