Control Trailer Shows Off the Wonders of Real-Time Ray Tracing

As if this game wasn't looking good enough already.

Remedy Entertainment have talked about how they’re looking to right the wrongs of the troubled launch of Quantum Break’s PC version by making sure that the same doesn’t happen with Control, which they say will be as good on PC as it can be. One of the ways they’ll be doing that will be by employing the use of Nvidia RTX’s real-time ray tracing technology.

At Nvidia’s recent GDC 2019 panel, Control developers Remedy unveiled a new trailer that showed off the technology in action in their upcoming game. The trailer compares areas in the game and how they look with ray tracing enabled and disabled, and the difference is quite plain to see. It’s really a pretty notable bump up with RTX enabled. There’s also some gameplay footage in there, of course, so you might want to check it out regardless of whether or not RTX interests you. Take a look below.

Control is due out this Summer for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We recently got plenty of new details on the game, about everything from whether it will have microtransactions (it won’t), DLC, how progression will function in the game, and lot more. Read all about it through here.
