We’ve always known that Control, Remedy Entertainment’s third person action thriller, was to release in 2019. The developer has been coy about a specific date, but it seems that a release window has been confirmed. Speaking to Game Informer, Remedy confirmed that Control would be releasing in the Summer.

It’s an interesting window depending on when in the Summer it releases. June is the month of the Electronic Entertainment Expo. July is usually not too crowded, and August is when the Fall/Winter onslaught of big releases starts to get rolling. Where Control will fit within this spectrum remains to be seen.

Thankfully, Remedy has been providing a bunch of concrete details since the E3 2018 reveal. In a recent rapid-fire questions video, game director Mikael Kasurinen confirmed that there would be post-launch content (though New Game Plus is a no go),while there won’t be any microtransactions. Control is coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
