Square Enix is calling Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion a remaster, but from everything that’s been shown of the game so far, it’s clear that it’s going way beyond what an ordinary remaster would do in terms of upgrading both the original’s gameplay and visuals (though the story is being kept as it). Specifically where the latter is concerned, the game has looked like quite the impressive leap forward, and more of that has been showcased in a new batch of screenshots.
Shared by 4Gamer, eighteen new screenshots showcase various aspects of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion. Several characters can be seen, including the slimy Professor Hojo, protagonist Zack Fair, and Turks members Reno and Rude. The images also offer various glimpses at different combat mechanics and several locations, with the game continuing to look sharp. Take a look below.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is set to launch on December 13 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Meanwhile, Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s sequel, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, will launch for PS3 in Winter 2023.
