Cyberpunk 2077 – CDPR Enlists QLOC for Development and QA Support

Polish port specialists QLOC will be aiding CD Projekt RED with the upcoming RPG's development.

Of all the games that have recently been hit with delays, CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 is among the most major, having been pushed by by five months from its original April launch. CDPR cited wanting to playtest and polish the game further as their primary reasons for delaying the highly anticipated RPG, and now, they’ve enlisted the help of another studio to aid with that.

Fellow studio QLOC, who specialize in ports and quality assurance, recently took to Twitter to confirm that they’ll be helping CDPR with both, development and QA of Cyberpunk 2077. QLOC have been involved with several major ports, including the likes of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice for the Switch, Dark Souls Remastered, the PC versions of Mortal Kombat XL, Mortal Kombat 11, and Injustice 2Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, and more. Hopefully their experience and expertise will prove useful to CDPR, and help alleviate any potential crunch during development.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia, on September 17, right on the cusp of next-gen console releases. Recently, reports came to light that the game was delayed due to its poor optimization on the base Xbox One, but CDPR have since disputed those reports.
