Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Reveal Timeline Will Be Similar To The Witcher 3

The game will have at least as many expansions as the studio's 2015 open world RPG.

That CD Projekt RED plan on supporting Cyberpunk 2077 with post-launch DLC and expansions is something we’ve known for a while, but when exactly can we expect to hear details about the same? Speaking recently in a Q&A with investors (translated by VGC), CD Projekt president Adam Kiciński said that the timing of reveal for post-launch plans for the game will be similar to what the studio did with The Witcher 3– which means we can expect to hear about a rough outline for the same a couple or so months before its September release.

Kiciński also confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have “no less DLC than The Witcher 3 had,” which means we can expect at least two expansions for the game. This, of course, also falls in line with what CDPR have said previously about their post-launch support plans for the upcoming RPG.

A multiplayer component for Cyberpunk 2077 is also currently under development, but CDPR have confirmed that that won’t be out until at least after 2021. Read more on that through here.

Cyberpunk 2077 is due out for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on September 17, and even with CD Projekt RED developers working on it remotely, the studio seems very confident of being able to hit that launch date. In fact, it’s apparently already been reviewed and rated by most rating boards around the world.
