Along with the announcement of Cyberpunk 2077 topping 25 million copies sold, CD Projekt RED also confirmed strong sales figures for Phantom Liberty. After launching on September 26th, the expansion sold three million copies in its first week on consoles and PC.
PC made up the lion’s share of sales at 68 percent, with 10 percent of purchases made via CD Projekt’s GOG platform. PS5 players constituted 20 percent of sales, while Xbox Series X/S made up 13 percent. Most sales occurred in North America at 35.9 percent. Europe constituted 35.1 percent, while Asia made up 23.1 percent of sales.
Overall, these are solid numbers for its first week, though it remains to be seen if it can top the base game’s 13.7 million+ copies sold within its first month.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It features a new story and district, Dogtown, with V wrapped up in a plot to save NUSA president Rosalind Myers.
