Cyberpunk 2077 Will Require More Than 80 GB of Storage Space

We all could have guessed that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be an absolute massive game- but massive doesn’t even begin to describe it. When it launches in April of next year, be prepared to clear out a whole lot of space in your system’s storage.

Over on the official PlayStation Store page of the game, its details mention that it’ll be 80 GB “minimum”. That, of course, suggests that the file size is subject to change, which makes sense, since there’s still whole lot of time left between now and its launch. But the “minimum” bit also suggests that even if it does change, the number will only go up, not down. It makes sense that CDPR aren’t considering a Switch port then, doesn’t it?

Then again, in today’s day and age, when often we see patches coming out with download sizes more than entire games (remember Fallout 76?), an 80 GB file size for a massive open world RPG seems par for the course.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out on April 16 next year for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We’ve learnt a great deal about the game of late, including new details on whether it has more romance options that The Witcher 3 (it does), whether it has morality system (it doesn’t), whether it has multiple endings (it does), whether it will have New Game + option (it probably will), and a lot more. Stay tuned for all the latest updates.
