Dead Island 2 Listed for Game Pass on Xbox Store

The acclaimed first-person hack-and-slash title could join the subscription service, though its listing may also be a mistake.

Deep Silver’s Dead Island 2 could be heading to Game Pass soon. The Xbox Store listing mentions that it’s included with Game Pass, though it was never officially announced for the same.

However, it could also be a mistake. Square Enix’s Visions of Mana appeared for Game Pass when players searched the Xbox Store until spokesperson confirmed otherwise. Dead Island 2 is coming to Steam on April 22nd, so a Game Pass release could coincide.

Time will tell, so stay tuned for more details and official confirmation of its status. Dead Island 2 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC, launching eight years after its initial announcement. Check out our review here. It’s sold over two million copies as of May 2023 and received its first paid expansion, Haus, last November.

Developer Dambuster Studios hasn’t provided updates on the next paid DLC, though there have been rumors of a wave-based survival mode, “Neighborhood Watch”, potentially for a future update.
