Death Stranding Was Worked On By Over 70 Guerrilla Games Developers

With a little help from your friends.

Death Stranding will be here in a week, and it’s seeming like the game will be a divisive one judging by the reviews coming out (you can check out ours through here). It’s been quite the journey here, and one with a quick turnaround. Kojima left Konami, formed Kojima Productions and created Death Stranding in roughly three years, which is an insane length for game development today. But there was some big help from another developer.

While it was known that Death Stranding would use the Decima game engine a long time ago, it’s now known via the game’s credits that over 70 developers from Guerrilla Games (the developer who created the engine) actually worked on the game as well. Kojima Productions employs just over 100 workers. It’s still an impressive turnaround, but Death Stranding definitely benefited from a little extra help.

Death Stranding will release for PlayStation 4 on November 8th and PC sometime in 2020. Check out the game’s epic launch trailer through here in the meantime.
