With the Lightfall expansion launching next month for Bungie’s Destiny 2, the developer is making several changes to reduce the barrier of entry for players. All standard Mods were made available last week, reducing the need to check Ada-1’s stock daily. Today, changes are coming to weapon and armor focusing, along with Grandmaster activities.
Instead of 50 Legendary Shards, the focusing costs for Trials of Osiris, Iron Banner, Gambit, and Crucible gear and weapons will cost 25. Adept weapon focus costs are being reduced to 50 Legendary Shards, down from 250, and focusing normal Ritual weapons now costs 5,000 Glimmer instead of 10,000.
As for Grandmaster activities, which goes live today with Grandmaster Nightfalls, the Power level for entry will be 1580. The Power of Grandmaster activities is being reduced to 1620. Enemies are at least 25 Power higher than you, so keep that in mind. If you’re entering at 1580 Power, they’ll be 40 Power higher.
Other changes to Grandmaster Nightfalls and other “high-difficulty modes” are coming soon, so stay tuned.
Destiny 2: Lightfall is out on February 28th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
