While Season of the Seraph is still ongoing in Destiny 2, Bungie is on the road to its next expansion, Lightfall. So before that, it’s unlocking all standard Armor Mods for players to allow for more build-crafting. There’s also the bit about giving ” everyone a chance to enjoy all mods in their current state,” which could mean nerfs are coming.
This change will go live later today, but that’s not all. Next week, the cost to focus armor and weapons from Trials of Osiris, Iron Banner, Crucible and Gambit will be reduced to 25 Legendary Shards. The cost to focus Adept weapons is also being reduced to 50.
Finally, Grandmaster Nightfalls go live on January 17th. Bungie is working on a “more approachable” Power cap and structure for players while retaining its challenge. This Week at Bungie will have more details, so stay tuned.
Destiny 2: Lightfall releases on February 28th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Check out the new Strand subclasses in action here.
As a preview of things to come in Lightfall, we have some exciting updates coming soon.
Tomorrow, all standard Armor Mods are unlocked for everyone! With big changes coming to buildcrafting in Lightfall, we want to give everyone a chance to enjoy all mods in their current state.
