Destiny 2 - Season of the Seraph

Bungie has finally revealed gameplay and the name for Destiny 2’s nineteenth season – Season of the Seraph. It sees Xivu Arath, the Hive God of War, looking to control Rasputin’s satellite. Together with Ana Bray, the Vanguard and Guardians must stop her, awakening Rasputin before it’s too late. Check out the first trailer below.

A new matchmade activity, Heist Battlegrounds, is available, which sees players traveling to different Braytech facilities to “bypass advanced defense systems and neutralize hordes of Wrathborn.” A new Exotic mission called Operation: Seraph’s Shield is also coming and involves accessing a Braytech orbital platform above the Last City.

You need to break through security layers each week and wake Rasputin up. It also grants the new Exotic weapon – Revision Zero – on December 20th. Multiple catalysts are earned over time to increase its power, with the weapon seemingly having different firing modes.

Destiny 2: Season of the Seraph goes live today and ends on February 28th, 2023, when the next expansion, Lightfall, launches. Stay tuned for full patch notes in the coming hours.
