The competitive Crucible mode where Power matters returns tomorrow at 10 AM PDT for Bungie’s Destiny 2. This will be the first Iron Banner of the Season of the Undying and it will be available until October 22nd. The game mode is Control and unfortunately, since Iron Banner is its own game mode, any changes made to Heavy Ammo in Crucible won’t be in effect.
Along with a Valor bonus and new Iron Will armor set, this Iron Banner will offer rewards in a different fashion. You’ll receive a new Seasonal Pursuit, which is character-based and must be completed before providing Tokens to Lord Saladin for packages. Completing the pursuit will provide the Iron Will set.
The pursuit tracks progress made throughout the Season of the Undying, even before it’s been acquired, so that provides some kind of head-start. You can expect weapons to drop from bounties and matches till the pursuit is complete. The available bounties offer pinnacle Power level items aka 960 Power gear but there will only be four per event. A bug currently allows for more than four bounties to be completed during the week due to them rotating – we’ll likely see a fix before Iron Banner is live.
