Destiny 2: Lightfall Launch Trailer Confirmed for Upcoming State of Play

Bungie's upcoming expansion for the MMO shooter is one of many reveals planned for the 45-minute showcase on February 23rd.

Sony has announced its next State of Play for February 23rd at 1 PM PST. It features several reveals, including 15 minutes of gameplay for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Destiny 2: Lightfall’s launch trailer is premiering, with Bungie releasing a small teaser on YouTube.

The teaser paints a dire picture of the war for the Traveler, with the Black Fleet overwhelming The Last City’s forces in orbit. How the Vanguard and Earth’s people will survive the ordeal remains to be seen, but much of the action takes place on Neptune in the futuristic city of Neomuna. It’s here the Cloudstriders prepare to fight off The Witness and Calus’s Shadow Legion with the Guardians’ help.

Destiny 2: Lightfall is out on February 28th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. As for the State of Play, it has a 45-minute runtime and will new reveals, information and gameplay for 16 “new titles” on PS5, PS4 and PlayStation VR2. Stay tuned for more coverage in the coming days.
