Destiny 2 Servers Offline for Maintenance Ahead of The Witch Queen’s Launch

Update 4.0.0.1 can be pre-loaded now on all platforms except PS4 which is suffering from an "unforeseen issue." Servers are back online at 9 AM PST.

Destiny 2’s new paid expansion The Witch Queen is out today after being delayed from last year. It brings new story missions, brand new location with Savathun’s High Coven, Void 3.0, new gear and weapons, and much more. To prepare fro the same, servers have been brought offline as 6:45 PM PST yesterday for maintenance.

Pre-loads for update 4.0.0.1 are now available, though an “unforeseen issue” means that PS4 users can’t download it. The update will be available today at 9 AM PST with maintenance completing by 10 AM PST. All players should be able to login at this period, though it should be interesting to see if Bungie’s servers can handle the demand given the +1 million pre-orders thus far.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is releasing on Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Google Stadia. Its associated raid launches on March 5th – head here for more details on the same.
