Musical performances aren’t usually something fans remember from video game events, particularly The Game Awards. However, that isn’t stopping creator and producer Geoff Keighley from adding a live performance to the show. On Twitter, Keighley announced that there would be a live band performance for Devil May Cry 5 at The Game Awards 2018.
Later, Casey Edwards confirmed that he would be performing “Devil Trigger” at the event. With additional performances by Ali Edwards and Cliff Lloret, “Devil Trigger” debuted with the first trailer for Devil May Cry 5 back at E3 2018. It’s since become synonymous with the game and garnered millions of views across different channels.
The Game Awards 2018 is expected to produce more footage for Devil May Cry 5, hopefully of the third playable character V. It takes place on December 6th at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET. The game itself will be releasing on March 8th, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
