Devil May Cry 5 (7)

Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5 has been a heavily featured part of Microsoft’s marketing since E3 2018. So naturally, the game received a new trailer during X018 as well- but this one is a little different. It’s a developer diary of sorts that showcases producer Matt Walker and director Hideaki Itsuno talking about Osaka and how the city offers inspiration for the team.

Of course, the real meat of the trailer is The Void. This is essentially a training mode which allows players to experiment with different weapons and Devil Breakers. If you want to hone your skills, then The Void will offer a number of customizable settings to pull this off. Itsuno also showcased some of the Devil Breakers, including the Mega Man-esque Mega Buster, and how it changes Nero’s movements.

Devil May Cry 5 will be receiving even more footage at The Game Awards 2018, which takes place on December 6th live from Los Angeles, California. Will we receive more details on the mysterious third character “V”? Time will tell. The game is set to release on March 8th, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Stay tuned for more information in the meantime.
