Capcom’s first major update for its critically acclaimed Devil May Cry 5 is coming very, very soon. The Bloody Palace, a 100 floor challenge arena that gets progressively more difficult with each floor, is coming on April 1st. Touted as the “ultimate challenge”, it will be available for free to all players.
What’s interesting is that there may be more to come besides The Bloody Palace. Recent datamining has hinted at another playable character (head here to find out who, but beware of major story spoilers) and matchmaking. The latter would fit into the co-op element that the game was reportedly touting before launch.
As it stands, Devil May Cry 5 has been doing very well for Capcom. It topped sales charts in the UK and Japan for last week according to UKIE/Gfk Chart-Track and Media Create respectively. What does the future hold for updates, especially since no post-launch support is planned beyond the Bloody Palace? Time will tell, so stay tuned for more information.
