DICE is Making a New Team to Work on Next Battlefield’s Campaign With Ridgeline Games

DICE is working with Ridgeline Games through a new team on the single player campaign for the next Battlefield game.

Developer DICE has revealed that it is building a new team that will be helping Ridgeline Games on developing the narrative single-player campaign for the next Battlefield game. Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, DICE VP and GM Rebecka Coutaz has revealed that the studio plans to support Ridgeline Games in its work.

“Our decision to build out our single-player team here at DICE is a proactive approach that arms our global teams with the resources they need early on as we look ahead to the next Battlefield experience,” said Coutaz to GI.biz.

“We have an immense amount of strength and opportunity within our three global studios, with each team bringing their own set of deep franchise experiences. Now, we are able to expand opportunities and benefit from new talent that will help Ridgeline write the next chapter for the franchise.”

“Our vision coupled with their experience with the franchise is going to see us build a single-player campaign that will engage players in new ways while also remaining true to the classic elements of what makes Battlefield truly unique,” added Ridgeline Games lead Marcus Lehto.

EA had established Ridgeline Games back in September. Headed by Halo series co-creator Lehto, the studio is made up of veterans of game development, and will be working on the single player campaign for the next Battlefield game.

Currently, neither DICE nor EA have announced a new Battlefield game, and Battlefield 2042 is still getting supported with content updates and a new season on the horizon.
