Divinity: Original Sin 2 Runs At Native 4K On Xbox One X, Dynamic 4K On PS4 PRO

Console gamers should see the best from one of the best CRPGs.

The most celebrated CRPG of 2017, Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition is making its long awaited journey to consoles with the August 31 launch of the game on PS4 and Xbox One, with PC players receiving a free content update that day as well. Of course, as a PC developed title first, how is the game going to fair on the consoles? About like you expected, apparently.

Developer Larian Studios confirmed to Wccftech that those playing on the Xbox One X can expect native 4K resolution and HDR support, while the PS4 will see dynamic 4K and HDR support, lining up with how this song and dance usually goes for PS4 Pro. Unfortunately for PC players, HDR support is not forthcoming.

When the game launches for consoles, the Definitive Edition is set to include Quality of Life improvements such as a party inventory system and story mode difficulty settings, among others, which is what we were calling for in our 9/10 review for the PC version last year.
