DmC: Devil May Cry Features No On-Disk DLC, According to Capcom

But it's still the same game, haters.

Whether they’re covering all their bases in preparation for the backlash against the game when it releases on January 15th or trying to make good on foul-ups it’s been committing since Resident Evil 5, Capcom announced today that the upcoming DmC: Devil May Cry will have no DLC on the disk. So you can be rest assured that you’re getting the final experience, right out of the box, rather than having to pay for content that’s already there.

Then again, you’ll still have to pay for extra content anyway, but eh.

Over the past several years, Capcom has been criticized for storing away content on it’s game discs and prompting players to purchase “DLC”, which were little more than unlocking keys for accessing said content. This began as far back as Resident Evil 5, but Capcom continued to do the same when it released Resident Evil 6 and Street Fighter X Tekken last year.
