Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Sold Over 1.5 Million Copies In Its First Week

Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball action RPG is selling about as well as most would have expected.

With the popularity of Dragon Ball franchise as a whole and the excitement surrounding the idea of a big action RPG covering its most famous sagas, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot seems to have landed on a perfect recipe for success for Bandai Namco. The game has been featuring in sales charts in several regions regularly since release, and new numbers provided by Bandai Namco show just how well it’s been selling.

The Japanese publisher recently announced that the CyberConnect2-developed action RPG sold in excess of 1.5 million units worldwide within just the first week of its launch. Without the doubt, the figure is much higher by now. Bandai Namco were originally targeting 2 million units sold for the game by the end of this fiscal year (March 31st), but it’s likely that it will have sold a lot more than that number.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read our review of the game through here.
