Between its original run in Japan to its coming to America, the Dragon Ball Z series was something that multiple generations grew up on. The upcoming RPG, named after main character Goku of the long running series, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, will revisit the saga that launched the series to international fame and there’s plenty of nostalgia to go around.
The game already got nostalgia-based live action trailer to tug at the heartstrings, and now we get another dose of the memories of youth with the game’s opening cinematic. It will sound familiar to longtime fans using the Cha-la Head-cha-la opening song, along with plenty of key moments from the Z saga. Check it out below.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will release January 17th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game will revisit many different aspects of DBZ in RPG form, so there’s plenty of beloved memories you’ll fight through.
