Dying Light 2 Stay Human Enjoys Strong Debut in Weekly UK Retail Charts, Pokemon Legends: Arceus Still on Top

Techland's open world survival horror action RPG has seen an impressive launch in the UK, and almost took the top spot from last week's big Pokemon release.

The Gfk has released new data for weekly physical game sales in the UK (via GamesIndustry), and the charts have seen some interesting activity. Dying Light 2 Stay Human was the big new release, and it’s apparently enjoyed an impressive launch, selling almost enough to take the top spot. Given the fact that the game immediately got off to healthy launch on Steam last week, this doesn’t come as much of a surprise. 54% of these sales came on the PS5, 27% on Xbox, and 19% on PS4.

Meanwhile, Pokemon Legends: Arceus is still the No. 1 game. The new open world RPG debuted on top of the charts last week with a stellar debut, and has since then gone on to hit ridiculous sales numbers globally, so to see it continuing to dominate sales proceedings seems par for the course so early on in the game’s life.

The rest of the top 10 is full of evergreen persistent sellers. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe has re-entered the top 10 at No. 8, jumping up from eighteenth position, while other perennial sellers like FIFA 22, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Grand Theft Auto 5 are also featured.
