EA: Dragon Age: Inquisition Was The Most Successful Launch In Bioware’s History

So why won't you give us the numbers?

Hard numbers (or the complete lack thereof) might have led you to believe that Bioware’s latest game, Dragon Age: Inquisition, which finally saw the studio back in form after a series of disappointing outings over the last few years, had cratered at retail- we got no press release from EA proudly trumpeting any kind of sales numbers, for example, which is not only a deviation from the norm in the industry, but also out of character for EA themselves. That, plus the game did not even chart in the NPD rankings after its launch. All signs were pointing to a game with great critical reception, met with commercial failure.

But EA has finally clarified that this was not the case. Far from it, in fact. During their financial release, EA clarified that Dragon Age: Inquisition was the most successful launch in Bioware’s history, ‘far exceeding’ EA’s expectations.

This all sounds great, but yet again, they refused to give us hard numbers.

EA, it’s almost like you’re trying to hide something here.
