FromSoftware has revealed the release timings for Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. It’s available on June 20th, 9 PM PDT/11 PM CDT on consoles and 3 PM PDT/5 PM CDT on PC. Pre-loads go live 48 hours before launch on PlayStation but Xbox and PC users can only download the expansion at launch.
While the PC version follows the same release time worldwide, those on consoles in other regions can start playing at midnight local time. As a result, those in the United States can get in at 5 AM PDT on June 20th, a whopping 21 hours early.
It’s possible to do this on Xbox by changing one’s location and region to New Zealand. Of course, this also means that spoilers and other details will go live before the expansion is officially available worldwide, so if you’re on PC or PlayStation, be warned.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. The base game has sold 25 million copies – check out our review for our thoughts on the game. You can also watch this video outlining its story so far.
