Developer Codemasters has released new deep dive, detailing how the changes to the circuit and drivers in F1 24 will make the game a more authentic driving experience for players. Accompanying the post is a video, which you can check out below.
The deep dive, which is the third and final one for F1 24, focuses on showcasing improvements made to iconic racing tracks such as Silverstone and Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Tracks like the Lusail International Circuit and the Jeddah Corniche Circuit have also been updated, bringing them closer to the real-world tracks they are based on.
On the Career mode side of things, F1 24 will for the first time feature audio samples from real-world F1 broadcasts. These audio samples will play at key moments of the Career mode, and there will be hundreds of lines that players will get to hear throughout their career.
The Career mode is also getting visual upgrades, thanks to cars being recreated using detailed CAD data, as well as the addition of Ray-Traced Dynamic Diffuse Global Illumination technology, along with improved lighting, shadows and reflections.
Players can also take on a full Driver Career of iconic F1 drivers, such as Pastor Maldonado and Jamie Chadwick. Players can also hire icons of the F1 racing scene as part of their teams in the My Team mode.
When it comes to online multiplayer, the new Fanzone is seeing improvements in F1 24, allowing players to progress towards a shared goal. Eventually, players will be allowed to pick a favourite team, which they can then represent in the in-game seasons.
F1 24 will also make use of the EA Racenet—a companion app that allows players to compare their stats and performance with their friends. Players can also make use of the app to create, join and compete in Leagues.
F1 24 is coming to PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One on May 31.
