Fallout 4 Nuka World DLC: Could Its Development Delay The Elder Scrolls 6 Release?

Could Bethesda's extended post launch support for Fallout 4 delay development on The Elder Scrolls 6?

Earlier this week, we began to get our first leaks on the upcoming second wave of DLC for Fallout 4– for now, we know of something called Nuka World seems to be in the works. It will probably headline what will be the second batch of Bethesda’s intended post launch support for Fallout 4– as the developer announced back in March, they intend to support Fallout 4 for the remainder of this year with their most extensive post launch support for any of their games yet.

The question now is, with such extensive and exhaustive post launch support planned for Fallout 4, is it possible that Bethesda’s resources will be diverted towards Fallout 4 for the near future, the development of The Elder Scrolls 6 might be delayed? It is not an unreasonable supposition- in the past, Bethesda have focused on one project at a time, taking years on that one project before moving on to the next one (this is evident in the fact that Bethesda games take so long to come out).

Of course, Bethesda’s Todd Howard did confirm that the company is currently working on at least three major projects- but is it possible that the bulk of development manpower is being focused on Fallout 4 for now, with the other games basically being in pre-production, if that?

If so, it may be a far longer wait to The Elder Scrolls 6 than many expected, or hoped for. Which would honestly be a shame. Fallout is well and good, but nothing gets me going like a new Elder Scrolls game…
