Fallout 76 Events Are Like Timed Multiplayer Quests, Says Bethesda

Here's how events will work in Fallout 76.

Fallout 76 is certainly not going to be short on content. Other than a main quest, the game’s going to have plenty of other activities for players to take part in, according to Bethesda. One of these things will be events, a kind of activity that is new to Fallout but fans of titles like Destiny would be quite familiar with.

Game Informer recently posted a pretty meaty, lengthy article on Fallout 76, and revealed a lot of new details on the game. One of these things were Events, which, apparently, will be timed multiplayer quests. Some events will appear in randoms times and places, while others will be exclusive to very specific spots on the map at very specific times. Discover an event once, and you can fast travel to it, and tackling them is encouraged, too- according to project lead Jeff Gardiner, these quests reward players with the best loot.

How will these events play out, though? Gardiner gave an example of an event players might come across in the game. “You’ll get a call about robots in distress, and you basically have to go and escort them to various locations,” he said. “If they live in the end, you get a reward. That’s a random [event] that will spawn. Some people will join you or not. The robots have a lot of character, and they are sort of the levity [of the mission]. You’ll follow along and they’ll make little comments to you.”

Recently, details on base building and how it will work in Fallout 76 were also revealed. Read more on that through here. The game launches on November 14 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
