Fallout 76 Listed for July 31st Release by Amazon

The listing has since been changed to December 31st 2019 by the retail site.

Bethesda Softworks really can’t catch a break with all the retailer leaks. After Walmart Canada essentially spoiled the existence of RAGE 2, it’s now Amazon that listed July 31st 2018 as the release date for Fallout 76.

The date was up for a brief amount of time before being changed to December 31st 2019. Massively OP noted the initial date and while it could be an error, it’s also likely that Amazon jumped the gun on the release date announcement.

“Wait, isn’t that next month?” you’ve no doubt asked. And we agree – it’s certainly odd for the game to release a mere two months after its teaser trailer was dropped. Then again, given the hype around the Fallout franchise (remember, more 150,000 viewers watched Vault-Boy statue in front of a screen), a long wait may not be required.

Fallout 76 has had some rather interesting rumours circulating. It will apparently have an online mode that takes inspiration from games like Rust but will still have story like previous games. We’ll only know for sure when Bethesda’s E3 2018 presser rolls around on June 10th so stay tuned.
