Fallout 76 Patch Delayed For PS4 and Xbox One

PC players will still receive the update on December 11.

Amid all the controversy surrounding Fallout 76’s duffel bags, of all things, Bethesda remains committed to fixing the universally panned game with updates and patches. After releasing patch last week that most notably fixed Stash sizes (among other things), another update was due on December 11 for consoles and PC that would introduce several requested features, such as terraforming during base building with a “Bolldoze” feature, push-to-talk on PC, and more.

That update has now been partially delayed, Bethesda has announced via the official Fallout Twitter account. Why partially? PC players will still be receiving the update on Tuesday, December 11, but the PS4 and Xbox One release of the patch has been pushed back slightly by two days, and will now arrive on Thursday, December 13. According to Bethesda, “this is to allow further testing on consoles”, since on consoles they cannot “hotfix unintended issues as quickly as [they] can on PC”.

Fallout 76 is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
