Fallout 76 – Steam Version Free for Bethesda Launcher Owners

You have to link your Steam account by April 13th though.

If you’ve been eagerly anticipating the launch of Fallout 76’s Wastelanders but didn’t know whether to pick the game up on Steam, there’s good news. Bethesda has announced that those who own the game on Bethesda Launcher can claim the Steam version for free. You have to link your Steam account by April 13th though.

Game progress will carry over between both versions but Atoms and Fallout 1st membership benefits won’t. Any items purchased with Atoms will carry over though. Achievements will also be active, mirroring those on Xbox One and PS4, but certain level and quest-related achievements will require a new character to earn.

Fallout 76’s Wastelanders update is out on April 14th for PC, Xbox One and PS4 along with the Steam version. The update adds some heavily requested features including human NPCs, factions, dialogue trees, a Reputation system and much more. Stay tuned for more details as the update goes live in the coming days.
