2023 has started off with a bang and a number of major new releases have launched to critical acclaim, but one major title in particular hasn’t had that kind of luck. Square Enix’s open world action RPG Forspoken has received mixed reviews at best and has come under criticism for a number of reasons related to its open world, writing, and technical issues, though it seems developer Luminous Productions is at work on pumping out fixes for many of those problems.
Taking recently to Twitter, the developer confirmed that it’s working on a patch for Forspoken that will bring improvements to “performance, graphics, playability, and general updates and fixes to the game content”. We will, of course, have to wait for the patch notes to get specific details on what that will entail.
Meanwhile, Luminous Productions also says it’s committed to keep working on the game to address criticisms. “We are committed to making Forspoken the most enjoyable experience possible and will provide an update about the timing of the next patch as soon as possible,” the developer wrote.
Forspoken is available on PS5 and PC, and is set to receive a DLC titled In Tanta We Trust this Summer. You can read our review of the base game through here.
