Square Enix’s Forspoken, a new action RPG from Luminous Productions, is now available on PlayStation 5. The PC version will go live later today, with timings varying based on one’s region. But in the meantime, console players can explore Athia.

Frey Holland is the main character, a New Yorker who finds herself transported to Athia after discovering the mysterious talking bracelet Cuff. The world suffers due to the Break, and the once-peaceful Tantas have gone mad. It’s up to Frey to use her magic and make things right, though she’ll have to overcome some consternation.

Initial impressions of Forspoken have been mixed thus far, with the combat mostly viewed as a highlight while the story, dialogue and world design received criticism. For more details, you can check out our review here.

Forspoken will receive new story DLC this Summer with In Tanta We Trust, set before the base game’s events. Check out the first clip here and stay tuned for more details.
