After embarking on the professional circuit for the launch of the Xbox One, Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios are returning to the open road with Forza Horizon 2.
According to IGN, the spin-off will be arriving this Fall for Xbox One and Xbox 360. While development will be handled by Playground Games, which created the original Horizon, it will be collaborating with Turn 10 Studios’ Motorsport team for a shared tech pipeline.
Forza Horizon 2 creative director Ralph Fulton stated that, “[Turn 10 and Playground] share this belief that we can create a true home for racing fans on Xbox One.”
Forza Horizon 2 will take place in Southern Europe, with all activities involving an on-going music festival, and you’ll have access to hundreds of cars such as the 2015 Lamborghini Huracán. The Drivatar system will debut for the first time in the Horizon series and a new weather system will be introduced in Forza for the first time.
