God of War PC Patch v1.0.4 is Live, Adds DLSS Sharpening Slider

Fixes for bugs like Atreus being unresponsive at checkpoints, loss of controller functions when using realm travel and more also resolved.

Jetpack Interactive and Santa Monica Studio have released the newest patch for God of War (2018) on PC. Patch v1.0.4 adds a DLSS Sharpening slider along with additional logging of crash reports. The latter should help “identify root causes of intermittent crashes.”

Otherwise, this patch is mostly about bug fixes. Those who faced issues with Atreus becoming unresponsive in some cases will now seem him properly reset his state when restarting from a checkpoint or saved game. Issues that resulted in graphics driver crashes, incorrect VRAM detection on Intel’s XE,and loss of controller functionality upon opening the inventory when traveling between realms have also been fixed.

For more details, check out the full patch notes below. God of War (2018) recently released for PC following its initial launch for PS4. Check out our review for the PC version here. Thus far, the port has been doing well, topping Steam’s sales charts within its first week. Sony Santa Monica is currently working on God of War: Ragnarok which releases this year for PS4 and PS5, though Jetpack Interactive is rumored to be working on port for the same.
