Gotham Knights Playtest Spotted Online, Possibly Hinting at Upcoming Update

A playtest of Gotham Knights was recently spotted on the game's SteamDB page, before it promptly got removed.

It’s been quite some time since WB Games provided an update on upcoming open world action RPG Gotham Knights, but though there’s been some concern about whether the game will be able to launch in 2022 like it was supposed to, its publisher has insisted time and again that that will indeed be the case. Now, recent developments might be pointing to the same.

It seems Gotham Knight saw quite a bit of activity recently on its Steam backend, as per updates being tracked on its SteamDB page. Interestingly, this also includes mention of a playtest, with files and content for the same apparently being uploaded, though it seems the update was promptly removed.

The speculation coming off of this, as you would imagine, that an update for the game could be imminent- perhaps with WB Games providing a release date, or maybe even with the release date itself being not too far away. Previous leaks had suggested that the game would launch in Spring, which is right around the corner, too.

Recent reports have heavily suggested that a big PlayStation showcase is set for March, where fellow upcoming WB-published game Hogwarts Legacy will also allegedly show up. Whether or not Gotham Knights re-emerges as well (if the event does indeed happen) remains to be seen.

Whenever it launches, Gotham Knights will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
