Grand Theft Auto 6 Could be Delayed to 2026 – Rumour

It's claimed that GTA 6 production is "falling behind", which would result in a delay to late 2025, or even 2026.

Upon its official announcement in DecemberGrand Theft Auto 6 was handed 2025 launch window, but if a report recently published by Kotaku is to be believed, the game is in danger of failing to hit its intended launch window, as has often been the case with Rockstar Games titles in the past.

Earlier this year, Rockstar Games issued mandate for its employees to return to office for five days a week, eliminating the possibility of further remote work on Grand Theft Auto 6, citing security concerns. However, Kotaku claims that other reasons were also at play.

Allegedly, production on the title is “falling behind”, and though the internal target is to release the game in early 2025, it’s looking likely that it won’t launch until the latter months of the year, while it could possibly even be delayed into 2026, should production continue falling behind.

In February, Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two Interactive released its revised earnings guidance for fiscal year 2024/25, which indicated that Grand Theft Auto 6 might not launch until April 2025 at the earliest. Read more on that through here.
