Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is now available again via the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC. Rockstar Support tweeted it can now be played and purchased, and that work is being done to “improve and update overall performance as we move forward.”
It’s been quite the trip for the highly anticipated remastered collection, at least on PC. First, it was unavailable to play when the Rockstar Games Launcher went down for maintenance. Then it was pulled from sale before Rockstar made it inaccessible to current owners. The reason given was to “remove files unintentionally included” with this release (which seemed to include several unlicensed songs as per dataminers).
Even with the trilogy now available to purchase and play, it still has a ways to go in terms of quality assurance. You can check out our official review here to find out where it fell short. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch with iOS and Android versions coming next year.
